Our Field Centre is located in the beautiful and unique sand dune habitat of Sandwich Bay. We have a number of reserves including a small lake for birds and a large pond for dragonflies.
We have exhibitions of wildlife photography, information displays about local wildlife, a shop selling books, feeders etc and light refreshments. You can join a guided walk or stroll around our reserves on your own. We also have many events such as talks on all aspects of natural history worldwide, bird watching classes and RSPB affiliated children’s activities.
If you visit early enough you may even see birds in the hand (as part of our ringing program) or moths that were trapped the night before.
Everyone is welcome as we appreciate support for our conservation and monitoring activities – we are an independent charity that is run by volunteers.
Please note: it costs £1 per car to come through the tollgate onto the private estate.
