The Friars Aylesford Priory

Heritage and Gardens

You are very welcome to visit The Friars at Aylesford Priory in Aylesford, probably the oldest village in England. There is a hidden secret, but no-one knows what it is?

As soon as you enter the grounds you will enjoy a sense of calm, peace and tranquillity. The Priory is steeped in history from the 12th Century and is home to Carmelite fathers.

When you enter, free of charge, you will see the West and North barn on your right. The North Barn is available for hire; the West barn is home to the book shop, also selling a wide variety of gifts and also serving light refreshments.

At the bottom of the car park you will see the world Famous Aylesford Pottery, which began life here in 1954.

You will find a pond with an ancient willow tree which drapes itself over the duck houses.

Come along and discover everything The Friars Aylesford Priory have to offer.
